Vicky Kaushal, Nora Fatehi And Arijit Singh’s Pachtaoge Is Basically An Altaf Raja Music Video From The 90s

What do you get when you bring one of Bollywood’s best actors, Vicky Kaushal, best dancer Nora Fatehi and best singer Arijit Singh together? Apparently, a song and music video which instantly reminds you of Altaf Raja’s music videos from the 90s and early 2000s.

The new song sung by Arijit Singh has been written and composed by Jaani with music by B Praak. The music of the song is pretty average but it is the lyrics that are just way to cheesy, way too corny and way too dated. Like really who write, ‘mujhe chhod kar jo um jaoogey, bada pachtaogey’ or even worse ‘mujhse so nazre churane lagey ho, lagta hai kisi aur gully jaane lagey ho’? It is 2019 and the last time this was acceptable was when Altaf Raja was doing it. In fact, if you listen to it carefully, the music of the song is very similar to ‘Pehele To Kabhi Kabhi Gham Tha’ by Altaf Raja.

In fact, the story of the music video is also kinda similar. Cheating spouse gets into an extramarital affair only to realize that it was his/her spouse that he/she was in love with. There is absolutely no reason why either Vicky Kaushal, Nora Fatehi of Prabh Uppal of Jaani Ve fame would be a part of something this dated and subpar.

There is also a scene partly inspired by Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud and in another scene, you feel like Vicky Kaushal’s karma from Manmarziyaan has finally caught up with him.

However, the video has already got 3.39.904 views on YouTube last time we checked, thanks to the loyal fans of Arijit Singh, Vicky Kaushal, and Nora Fatehi so who are we to say anything.
