SOTY 2 Jatt Ludhiane Da Song: Even With Tiger And Tara’s Moves, This Song Is #Ridiculous

Another new song from the film Student Of The Year 2 just and we wish we could say we are excited. The song is called ‘Jatt Ludhianey Da’ and mostly features Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria with a small appearance by Ananya Pandey.

The number has been composed by Vishal Shekhar and the vocal have been provided by Vishal Dadlani and Payal Dev. Here are takeaways from the song.

Music Does Not Make An Impact

Despite the peppy vibe, the music leaves no impact whatsoever. It is just one of those songs that you forget two minutes after hearing. The beat is nothing new and the groove is also nothing to write home down. Coming from Vishal Shekhar, it is actually kinda disappointing.

Tara And Tiger Is A Pair Made In Dancing Heaven

While everything in the song is literally crashing and burning, the only thing that catches your attention in the song are Tiger and Tara dancing up a storm. We already know how amazing a dancer Tiger Shroff is, but we had no idea Tara was so amazing as well. It is surely a pair made in dancing heaven.

Ananya Pandey Struggles To Match Steps

Ananya Pandey, who makes a rather confusing and brief appearance in the song, however, is clearly not a gifted dancer. Not only does she look incredibly stiff while dancing, but when compared to Tiger and Tara it looks almost tragic to watch her struggle to look cool and follow choreography at the same time.

What’s Wrong With Lyricist? Seriously!

This is the fourth song from the film and we seriously need to investigate what is going on with the lyrics of the song. The lyrics of this one has been penned by talented Anvita Dutt , thus we have no clue why she has written things like ‘aate waqt tu scenery hai to aatey waqt nazara’. We do not know what to say when lyricists resort to lines like ‘hashtag this, hashtag that’ in a song. No kidding, those are the exact lyrics. Also, whether it’s a girl saying to a guy or a guy saying it to the girl,  ‘palat palat ke aankhein sekungi’ or ‘fursat se mai tadlu’ are not cool, it is just problematic and in a really bad taste.

Subtle Tribute To Kukkad Kamaal Da

In the song, we see a smitten Tara dancing and crushing on a svelte and groovy  Tiger Shroff. The premise of the song reminds us of ‘Kukkad Kamaal Da’ from the first Student Of The Year. However, we actually liked that song which is, unfortunately, more than we can say for this one.
