Student Of The Year 2 Trailer: Tara And Ananya Try To Romance Tiger Shroff’s Abs Who In Turn Is Still In The Heropanti Hangover

Student Of The Year 2 Trailer: Tara And Ananya Try To Romance Tiger Shroff’s Abs Who In Turn Is Still In The Heropanti Hangover

Where do we start? Student Of The Year 2 is probably one of the most talked about and awaited films of the year. While the heartthrob of the country, Tiger Shroff creates buzz with all of his films, this one is also going to be the launch vehicle of Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria who are grabbing headlines almost every day.

Directed by Punit Malhotra, the film is going to hit the theatres on 10th May and is the sequel to 2012’s Student Of The Year which launched Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan. As the trailer of the sequel dropped in today, we are left with so many questions, but no one to answer them.

What Was The Need To Make This Film?

As usual, the concept of a sequel is entirely lost to the makers. A sequel to a film starts where the previous story ended. But with this one, it looks like they are trying to tell the exact same story just with a different sex ratio. If everything else is so similar to the first one, what was the need to make this film in the first place? Even Tiger’s name is in the film is Rohan, which was Varun’s name in the first SOTY! So much for originality!

When Will Tiger Shroff Come Out Of the Heropanti And Baaghi Mode?

Ok, there is no doubt about the fact that Tiger has the best abs and action skills in the business. But, we have seen all of that in Heropanti, Baaghi and Baaghi 2. From action to his dialogue delivery to the expression on his face, everything looks like a rehash. We really want to know when he will come out of his ‘Heropanti’ hangover and give us something new.

Why Is Ananya Pandey’s Dialogue Delivery So Weird?

It might be unfair to judge Ananya and Tara in the trailer given there is very less of them. In a 3 minute long trailer which looks like a deodorant ad featuring Tiger, the girls don’t get too many moments to shine. But Ananya’s entry scene has her playing the rehash of Varun’s character in the first film and we can’t help but notice that there is something about her dialogue delivery that is majorly off.

Why Is Everybody In The Air?

At this point, we have come to accept that Tiger Shroff and gravity can’t exist in the same film. And, honestly, we love it when he does those gravity-defying stunts. However, the problem with this one is every sport out there is being played in the air and we have no clue why. I mean who flies while playing kabaddi? Is it even allowed?

    Where Are The School Authorities?

Student Of The Year 2 Trailer: Tara And Ananya Tries To Romance Tiger’s Abs And Heropanti On Karan Johar’s Set

It is a sacrilege to have Tiger in a film and not make him do crazy action. But, for a good part of the trailer, Tiger is beating up his fellow schoolmates. For a school that looks like one will have to sell their kidneys every month to put their kids there, we can’t help but wonder where are the school authorities when student beat their classmates to a pulp? Yes, we see Tiger is finally rusticated but what kind of a school allows such behavior even for the first time.

Which School In India Looks This Gorgeous?

Student Of The Year 2 Trailer: Tara And Ananya Try To Romance Tiger Shroff’s Abs Who In Turn Is Still In The Heropanti Hangover

I know this is a Karan Johar film and after SOTY 1 it is a redundant question, but St. Teresa in SOTY 2 is even more gorgeous than the St. Teresa in SOTY 1. In fact, that is one of the very few things that look different from the first film, ironically. But seriously, which school in India or in the world looks that amazing?
