Nanavati Hospital Children and Cancer Ward

Losing his parents at a very young age is the biggest tragedy of Shah Rukh’s life and it has surely shaped in a lot of ways. When Shah Rukh was only 15, his father passed away due to cancer and Shah Rukh admits that financial crunch was one of the reasons why they could not afford better treatment. Thus he runs a special cancer ward in Nanavati Hospital and makes sure that no one is deprived of good healthcare due to monetary issues.

Donating The Entire Prize Money Of IPL

It was a time for celebration when Shah Rukh’s team Kolkata Knight Riders brought back the IPL trophy in season 7. The team also won prize money worth Rs. 15 crores. But instead of spending it on themselves Shah Rukh donated the entire prize money to the cancer patients.

Adopting 12 Villages

Not a lot of people know that Shah Rukh Khan adopted 12 villages back in 2012 in Orissa and has actually been active in arranging for the education water and electricity of those villages among other concerns.

Make a Wish Foundation

Shah Rukh named this foundation after his dad whose name was Meer Taj Khan Mohammad. The foundation provides shelter and medical aid to the acid attack survivors. In 2018, the foundation received the Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum for its contribution and welfare initiatives.
