5 Statements By Kangana Ranaut After Manikarnika's Release That Made Us Go, "Please Stop"!
Kangana Ranaut had her big Bollywood project of 2019 absolutely ready for the beginning of the year itself. She decided to take up Republic Weekend of 2019 for her dream project Manikarnika! Right from the very beginning, Manikarnika was surrounded by controversies. From Sonu Sood's sudden exit to director Krish leaving the film, the problems were endless. But Kangana handled the matter and the film released on the very day it was booked for.
But being the person that Kangana is, she is in no mood to stop even after the release of the film. While many actors like Mishti and Atul Kulkarni have gone ahead and said how their parts were chopped, many had come out to support Kangana as well like Zeeshan Ayyub and Ankita Lokhande. And while we are lauding Kangan's effort, she seems to be getting after people more than basking in the success of the film. And sorry to say, but it is now getting on our nerves!
Ever since the film released, Kangana has gone to every extent to belittle the very industry that she functions in. While it is great to point out flaws, but a constant blame game is not cool! Here are 5 statements that Kangana Ranaut has made that makes us beg to her to please stop:
1. When she said this very derogatory statement against Krish, Mishti, Sonu Sood and Apurva Asrani
It is good to be happy about the success of one's film. But Kangana seems to have forgotten the thin line between confidence and overconfidence. The actress, who is no doubt talented, is now being vain. Even though this has been her only hit after a long phase of flops after Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the actress said many belittling things about those who called out against her. Responding to the allegations made by director Krish, actress Mishti, Sonu Sood and writer Apurva Asrani, Kangana said,
"Krish should direct another film, which stars Sonu Sood and is scripted by Apurva Asrani. At least that way they can ensure that they get back at me."
2. When she called Bollywood obnoxious
In an interview, Kangana said,
"Industry people are being absolutely obnoxious and ganging up against the film. They are not saying anything and ignoring it. The racket is so strong that even a small-time actor is secretly messaging me praising the film. You know, they don’t dare write it on social media. That is how they have ganged up."
Bollywood definitely has more to worry about than just you, Kangana!
3. When she dragged Alia Bhatt
In an interview, Kangana said,
"These girls send me their trailers like Alia (Bhatt) sent me the trailer of Raazi and said, 'Please watch it'. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country. How do these people become so petty? This is a very strange sort of a racket. I don't know what they are threatened by."
We wonder why she did not talk to Alia Bhatt directly instead of making these statements?
4. Aamir Khan also wasn't spared!
Kangana has also said,
"When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani's house. Dangal, for me, was a film about women empowerment. But they don't have time for any of my trails. I have two-three films coming up, but I don't expect people to write about them."
We believe she needs validation on social media!
5. When she expressed her anger because no one attended her premieres
Kangana has also said,
"In 2014 [Queen], I don't think all the accolades were for me, it was for Phantom who was coming up and they were having screenings after screenings for people of Vikas and Anurag Kashyap. I have always been absolutely ignored. After Tanu Weds Manu also, I have had so many trials [film previews], they would just not come. But when it comes to them, they call me shamelessly, I even sort of cancel my shoots and make sure I attend them. Now, I have stopped because it's getting too much."
Maybe it is time to make some friends Kangana!
