19 Years Of Dil Chahta Hai: Farhan Akhtar And Ritesh Sidhwani Celebrate The Masterpiece With Nostalgic Posts

There are some films that momentarily make us laugh, while others may stay with us for slightly longer. Then there are those wholesome cinematic experiences which successfully make a place in our hearts forever. Dil Chahta Hai falls in the third category. Featuring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia, the coming-of-age romantic drama not only focused on the romantic lives of three buddies, but also gave us a glimpse of how friendships transition over time. The masterpiece completes 19 long and extremely successful years today.

Celebrating the special milestone Farhan Akhtar, who made his directorial debut with the film, and co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani took to their social media handles to share nostalgic posts remembering the good old days. Farhan shared some of the most iconic dialogues from Dil Chahta Hai along with the caption: “#19yearsofDilChahtaHai .. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for the love you continue to show it. To my amazing cast & crew, wherever you are, see you at Chapora Fort!! Jahaaz aur bhi bada ho gaya hai.” Ritesh, on the other hand, shared, “#DilChahtaHai we could turn back time to 19 years ago. Along with our hearts, Dil Chahta Hai won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi in 2001. It gave us a brilliant example of lifelong friendships and bonds which do change over time, but only to get stronger. But most of all, it gave us hope to believe that everything will work out in the end.
