5 Celebrities Who Are Seriously Pissed With Diet Sabya

If you are not living under a rock, you have probably heard about a certain Instagram account named Diet Sabya. The account, with celebrity followers like Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, is a self-appointed fashion watchdog that calls out copycats in the fashion industry.

While most people love the account for its merciless tone, some celebrities or their close ones who were at the receiving end of Diet Sabya’s scathing sarcasm did not take too kindly to it. Take a look at what we are talking about.

Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor

The page was quick to call out Anamika Khanna’s design that Sonam wore to the Ambani wedding. Both Sonam and her sister Rhea were wearing Anamika Khanna creations which had the word AK-OK written on it. Diet Sabya alleged that the words were a rip-off from the Anna Wintour collection with the words AWOK on it. Sonam and Rhea who are close to the designer hit back saying that Anamika is a true artist who would never plagiarize and the words AK-Ok was inspired by the common American slang A-Ok that Anamika’s sons, who returned from America, used to keep her spirits afloat when she was battling a long illness. The sisters called the page insensitive and hurtful. Following the backlash, the page issued an apology regarding the incident.

Hina Khan

Recently, Hina Khan was also called out by the page for wearing an outfit that looked like a copy of House of CB. Not the one to take trolling quietly, Hina along with boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal slammed the page by saying that more than being offended she was amused by the incident and also added that people should be cautious before commenting on pages with a blue tick. Rocky pointed out that if a western celebrity wears a saree it would be inspired by some Indian designers, which does not mean they are copies.

Divyanka Tripathi

Divyanka Tripathi was mercilessly trolled by the page when she wore a belt that looked a bit too similar to Sabyasachi’s iconic belts featuring the Royal Bengal Tiger. Divyanka, who was deeply hurt by the incident posted a long and sentimental note calling out the harshness with which Diet Sabya trolls people.

Ekta Kapoor

Following the Divyanka Tripathi’s incident, Ekta Kapoor was not too happy with the page either. She called out the page on being a copy of Diet Prada itself and pointed out how ironical it was for the page to call others copycat when they are not really excelling at being original in their concept.
