BREAKING: 'He Pushed Me Hard Against A Wall In Front Of My Brother' Model Saloni Chopra Accuses Actor Zain Durrani Of Physical Assault!

Viscious, insidious, scandalous are the adjectives that comes to the mind when ruminating about certain incidents that happen in our day to day lives. One such incident took place almost 4 years ago which came out in the open just recently!

Many new faces come to the maximum city to fulfill their Bollywood dreams. It all seems to be a very rosy picture but time and now we come face to face with cases of sexual assaults, physical abuses, casting couches and a lot of other sinister goings on behind the glitter and glamour of the film industry! A few days ago, the nation came across the physical assault case of Armaan Kohli’s girlfriend Neeru Randhawa who filed a police complaint against the actor.

In the same light, a model and actress Saloni Chopra’s blog on Instagram created a lot of hullablloo in the social media space. In the blog she doesn’t really name anyone but it has references of terrible physical assault episodes, slut shaming, an abusive partner and somewhere a toxic relationship that was just not meant to be!

YES! JUST NOT MEANT TO BE!

When Desimartini read the blog post, we knew something wasn’t quite right - the post had layers which had to be unfurled and needed to be brought out in the open. Therefore, we got in touch with Miss Chopra to get to know what actually transpired that prompted her to write that blog and who is “this guy” she has been referring to without putting out a name!

Turns out Saloni Chopra was in a relationship with Zain Khan Durrani who made his acting debut on the silverscreen with director Onir’s Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz. Durrani who otherwise has a very calm and serene façade has a completely different side to him as well and it was during the course of their relationship that violent streak in him showed and how!

Saloni mentions clearly in her blog post that she has been in ‘some really terrible relationships’ and that they made her a stronger person! In a detailed conversation with Desimartini, she revealed how Zain used to beat her up and then put up an act as though he was about to faint with heavy panting and feeble eyes. After pouring a little water on to his face, he would suddenly come back to himself and plead guilty for having behaved the way he did, calling himself a monster!

With so much happening, Saloni used to really struggle with not knowing how to address what was happening, “because he would act like he didn’t remember what he just did but he would keep calling himself a monster.” When it happened for the first time she did believe him and even asked him to get help but later on when she spoke to one of his friends, he informed her, he had known him since fourteen years and never did anything of that sort happen to him!

Therefore it was clear he was just trying to cover his monstrosity by putting up an act of going blank!

After a lot of rumination and deliberation when Saloni later confronted him about it stating that she didn’t’ like the way he behaved with her, he held her responsible for his actions – Quipped she, “Zain blamed the whole thing on me and said, I brought it out of him and I made him behave like this person!” Later on she admitted that she shouldn’t have fell for what he said but she did and dwelling on her actions today, she was sorry she believed him! She further said, Zain made sure she felt guilty by asking her to mend whatever happened and this is what made the relationship “more toxic.” She further revealed, “I eventually broke up with him because during one Halloween party he pushed me against the wall in front of my brother! The bouncers threw him out of the party and my brother lashed out at me for putting up with this preposterous person!”

When we further prodded her into revealing the reason behind coming up with the post after four long years, we were further shocked to know it! – She stated, “I just had a word with Onir about this and he said that he would like to help, but then I refused to take names. Later on I got to know about another girl who he was dating and she was facing the same plight.

“This girl came from a very conservative family and she didn’t want to bring it out in the open but at the same time she really wanted him to realize, what he had done to her was wrong! That’s when I felt guilty! That’s when I realized, had I spoken up four years ago, some other person wouldn’t have had to go through this ordeal!”

Later on, Saloni continued, “when he came to know Onir and I had been meeting, he sent me an apology email stating he was sorry for what he did four years ago and that he wanted to be a better man but all of that doesn’t count because he pretentiously calls himself a beast and says all of this instead of owning up to his faults and wrongdoings. It was always like crying and falling down and not remembering what he has done was the worst part! I am sure he remembers it but whatever he does in the moment is appalling to me especially because I haven’t seen anything so atrocious as this in my life!” I actually began thinking that I was doing something wrong to bring this out from the person! That is surely not okay!

Talking about her introduction with the other girl, she said that she met her, when some mutual friends informed her about this other girl Zain was dating! The friends had also revealed, “the other girl too was facing the same condition. That’s when I called her and spoke to her about the relationship Zain and I shared which shell-shocked her!”

Thereafter, Saloni also revealed that Zain is getting engaged to another girl and that she too had to be informed about the kind of person he was, because no girl deserves to be married to a man who is abusive and violent!

Well, there are always two sides to a coin and the same goes with a story - which is why we got in touch with Zain Durrani, to know his version. However, he was pretty guarded about it all and didn’t want to utter one word. It was almost like he was trying to hide! He just kept on saying, “I have nothing to say, I don’t want to comment on the issue.” Well, all we can say is there is no smoke without fire and with such appalling accusations hurled on to him, it is almost imperative that he speaks up otherwise things won’t really be rosy for him in the near future for sure!
