This Is What Hrithik Roshan's Debut Would Have Looked Like If Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai Was Made In 2019

The movie that gave us our beloved Greek God, Hrithik Roshan , a certain Ameesha Patel who showed us promise but never delivered and some unforgettable tunes, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai , turns 19 today. The film has a lot of memories for each us. Most of us can finish every dialogue of the film and re-create the hook steps of each of superhit songs of the film. But have you ever stopped to think that if Rohit/Raj and Sonia's love story played out in 2019, how would it be? Here is what we think.

The Smartphone Angle

Raj and Sonia would probably not have been marooned in the island and thus not get time to fall in love. Because of phone. They would have surely had their smartphones with them because no matter how drunk you are you do not forget your phone. And, given service providers now have signal everywhere they would have found a signal somewhere on the island to call people to rescue them.

Bollywood is richer now

Just a bullet and a bike hurtling down the bridge? No way. If KNPH was made now, it would have included much swankier vehicles and a more stylized accident sequence. Rohit who by the time of the accident was already a popular star instead of any random bike would have at least have a Harley Davidson. Somebody like Rakesh Roshan surely could have afforded it in the launchpad of his son.

No Ameesha Patel

To give credit where its due, Ameesha Patel at least did her debut right. If not with Kaho Naa Pyaar hai who knows what her debut would be and how her career would have fared. Well, the conclusion would probably have been the same and thus there is no chance that Ameesha Patel would have been cast in a movie as big as KNPH.

The Rap Angle

With KNPH, Rajesh Roshan gave us one of the most memorable music albums of the year and KNPH is still one of the biggest musical hits ever. But, if it was made now it surely would have had at least one Punjabi rap number by either Baadshah or Raftaar. I mean the movie had two characters who were popular singers, there is simply no way you can show a popular singer these days without making him do one rap number.

The Social Media Angle

If KNPH was made in the day and age of social media, it would have made everybody's life easier. Sonia would have known that her cousin from New Zealand has a friend who is a lookalike of her boyfriend because she would have surely seen some pictures of him on her cousin's Facebook or Instagram. So no shocker there, And instead of sneaking around his house like a creep, she could have just stalked him on social media
