'Aa Rahi Hai Police': Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi Confirms Arrival In Theatres On April 30, Actor Says 'A Promise Is A Promise'

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty on his birthday has offered his fans the best gift possible. He confirmed with a video announcement that despite a year’s delay Sooryavanshi is headed for the theaters as promised. The action extravaganza which is next in line after Ranveer Singh starrer blockbuster Simmba which released in 2018 will release in theatres worldwide on April 30 despite the second wave of Covid-19 that has hit a few cities in Maharashtra.

Akshay Kumar who is the leading man in the film also shared the video saying, ‘a promise is a promise’. The makers had promised that the film will arrive in theatres when right ahead of its intended release last year theatres were shut down and the lockdown was imposed.

“We promised you all a cinematic experience and that’s what you will get...the wait is finally over! Aa Rahi Hai Police,” wrote Akshay. Rohit Shetty on the other hand encouraged fans and followers to watch the film in theatres and also touched upon the resurgence of Covid-19 cases and how the vaccination drive is full of hope.

He also said that the promotions of the film will kick off from April 10.

There were a few times last year where speculations ran wild that Sooryavanshi too might succumb to the OTT wave but the makers of this action drama have diligently warded off such reports to finally see the film’s theatrical release.
