Aamir Khan Shows Interest In Guru Dutt’s Biopic; Filming To Begin Soon

Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan was last seen on the big screen in YRF’s 2018 action adventure film Thugs of Hindostan. It was the first film that featured Aamir and Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles and while the film received negative reviews, Big B and Aamir’s performances were lauded. Well, Aamir has a few exciting scripts in his kitty for the coming year and fans are super excited to see him shine on-screen again. Latest buzz also suggests that one of his upcoming projects could be Guru Dutt’s biopic.

The legendary actor and filmmaker gifted Indian cinema some of its most beautiful classics such as Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. Well according to a report shared by Spotboye, filmmaker Bhavna Talwar is all set to make a film based on Guru Dutt’s life. This project will be directed by Bhavna’s husband Sheetal Talwar. A source was quoted saying, “Bhavna has been actively working on the Guru Dutt bio-pic for years now. Her tireless toil is complete. She will soon begin filming.”

The source further revealed that Aamir has shown keen interest in Dutt’s biopic. That means if things work out, fans will see Aamir as Guru Dutt on the big screen. The budget of this project will reportedly be around 120 crores. Aamir is currently busy with his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan.
