Aamir Khan Talks About Complications In Shooting Laal Singh Chaddha Says, "We Were Dealing With Corona And Kareena"

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha has been sitting on fans’ list of ‘most anticipated Bollywood films’ ever since it was announced. The project like many other films has seen many ups and downs in productions due the Covid-19 era and has already missed one deadline set for Christmas 2020.

In an interview clip of Aamir going viral he can be seen sitting with wife Kiran Rao talking about Laal Singh Chaddha’s delay. The star summed up the ‘complications’ faced by the film as ‘corona and Kareena’. The actor who will be playing the  Indian version of Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump in the film compared their film’s fate with the feather in the opening sequence of the Hollywood film which gets knocked around by the wind.

“Advait (Chandan), who is the director of this film, he and I often joke that when we took on this film, our lives have become like a feather — different winds are pushing us in different directions, and we are just kind of flowing with it and we are just going to figure out where we land up by the end of the film,” Aamir says.

Adding about the troubles faced in shooting Laal Singh Chaddha he added, “While the rest of the world was dealing with Corona, we were dealing with Corona and Kareena who was the heroine of the film, she got pregnant, another complication so we are like one more gust of wind has pushed us in another direction.”

Kareena Kapoor announced her second pregnancy in August 2020 and the makers wrapped up shoot with the actress in September 2020.

Laal Singh Chadha is due to release in theatres around Christmas 2021.
