Aanand L Rai Reacts To Rumors About Kartik Aaryan Being Dropped From His Next; Says No Film Was Signed

Back in February this year, Kartik Aaryan was snapped in conversation with Aanand L Rai at the latter’s office and it was reported that they will be collaborating for the filmmaker’s upcoming gangster film. However, yesterday rumors began doing the rounds about how Kartik has lost the project and the makers are now considering Ayushmann Khurrana. Well, a spokesperson later clarified that Aaryan was still in talks for the film and another project has been taken to Khurrana.

Now in an interview with ETimes, Aanand has broken his silence about the rumors. He was quoted saying, “There was no such film signed by Kartik, all these reports are baseless.” The filmmaker went on to explain that many stars do visit his office to discuss projects but they don’t necessarily end up working together. He shared, “There are so many actors who come to meet me, but that does not mean that he or she has been signed for my film.”

Kartik’s fans were surely heartbroken when it was reported that this is the third film he has lost out on after Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 and Goodbye Freddie backed by Red Chillies. Thankfully, it has now been cleared out that these were just rumors. Whew!
