Aarey Deforestation: Shraddha Kapoor Takes To The Street To Protest, Other Celebs Voice Their Concern!

Aarey forest might soon be cleared up and the decision to chop off Mumbai’s lungs has been given a clean chit. Permission has been given to clear the forest so as to accommodate a metro shed. Mumbaikars have been protesting for days against this move. And now Bollywood celebs too are joining hands.

Most of the celebs took to Twitter to express their concern over the move to cut down the Aarey forest. But Shraddha Kapoor took to the streets and joined the protesters to criticize the decision. She wore a white tee with Save Aarey written in green as she held a placard and protested. Check out her picture here:

Well, other celebs like Dia Mirza and Raveena Tandon have also spoken against the move. Dia wrote that this ‘massacre’ would disrupt the ecological system. Here is what she tweeted:

 Raveena Tandon shared the news and wrote, “Shocking that we are letting this happen. Why are the citizens voices not being heard???”

Esha Gupta too took to Twitter and wrote,” So, in a world where we already seeing the repercussions of humans ego(amazon fire), Mumbai’s Aarey colony is set to lose 2646 trees for metro shed..Such egoistic we are getting to not care about our planet? We NEED EARTH.”

Singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani was shocked the moment the news was out!

Well, the BMC has already received record number of complaints against the decision. We are yet to see if the move actually materialises. If it does, we would have an irreversible loss!
