Abhinav Kohli's Mother Defends Him Against Charges Of Assault And Harassment Reveals Shweta Tiwari Wanted A Divorce

Actor Abhinav Kohli who is married to TV actress Shweta Tiwari is said to have been arrested this morning on charges of assaulting the latter’s daughter Palak Tiwari and also of sexually harassing her. After the news went viral on the internet, the actor’s mother Poonam Kohli has spoken up on the matter and defended her son.

Talking to India Forums an emotional Poonam Kohli refuted all claims of sexual harassment and also made the shocking revelation that Shweta Tiwari wanted to divorce Abhinav Kohli. "I don't know what has happened but my son is innocent. Yes, Shweta wanted a divorce but Abhinav didn't. He wanted that their son (Reyaansh) should get the love of both the mother and father." 

A case has been registered against Abhinav in Samta Nagar Police after Shweta, her mother Nirmala and Palak approached the cops on 11August.  The charges against the actor include, ‘outraging a woman’s modesty, making sexually coloured remarks, assault, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation under the IPC, and sections of the Information Technology Act’. 

Abhinav’s mother also addressed the charges related to Palak and said, "And about Palak, how will my son do such a thing? He has seen her grow up in front of him. When Shweta was in Bigg Boss (4th season) house for three months, Abhinav took care of her, right from sending her to school and everything else. How will he do something like that? I don't know why Shweta has done this, but all I can say is that my son is innocent."
