Abhishek Bachchan Responds To A User Who Feels On Gujarati's Can Ace Playing Gujarati's On Screen Ahead Of The Big Bull

Abhishek Bachchan is ready to take over the masses yet again with another OTT release, The Big Bull. The film that is already being pitted against Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story as both the projects are based on the same story but Abhishek is not deterred by the constant comparisons.

The actor whose character in this Kookie Gulati drama, Hemant Shah, is inspired by stock broker Harshad Mehta, recently came across a tweet suggesting that only can do justice to playing another Guajarati on screen. The user showering praises on Scam 1992 had written, "No wonder why one can never match the bar set by team #Scam1992 .. no unwanted rap song, only theme music.. no unnecessary drama, to the point writing.. and most important is the flavour Red heart “Gujarati ke upar kahani banane wala, act karnewala, direct karnewala ... Sab Gujarati (sic)."

In response, Abhishek had a classy reaction where wrote, “Hey, just came across this tweet. I’ve acted in #TheBigBull does it count if I love Gujarati food and my favourite restaurant is @gordhan_thal in Amdavad? Plus my manager is also Gujarati..... please say yes.”

This will not be the first time Abhishek is playing a Gujarati businessman on screen. His much appreciated role in his 2007 Mani Ratnam film Guru was based on the Gujarati business tycoon, Dhirubhai Ambani. The movie remains a glowing gem in his filmography.

As The Big Bull hits Disney+ Hotstar we hope that the actor is able to recreate that success once again.
