Abhishek Bachchan’s Bob Biswas Lands In Trouble For Violating Environmental Norms

It was on the 24th January that Abhishek Bachchan took to his official social media handle to announce his next film Bob Biswas. The film is based on the character of Bob from the 2012 film Kahani. Abhishek took to his social media account to post a picture of a pair of glasses and a Motorola mobile phone that was used by Bob in Kahaani which released in 2012And now according to the latest media reports the film ran into troubled waters for violating environmental norms.

According to a report on Bollywood Hungama, the makers of Bob Biswas allegedly continued shooting at Rabindra Sarobar in Kolkata absolutely paying no attention to the regulations laid by National Green Tribunal. The makers of the film are also facing backlash for cooking inside Sarobar and also using plastic which is banned by the tribunal. The objections have also been raised by Morning Walkers Association of Rabindra Sarobar. When they were questioned, the crew members said that Sujoy Ghosh, the producer, will answer their queries.

However, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) CEO Antara Acharya said the shooting unit of Bob Biswas had all the required permissions and that they have not violated any regulations laid down by the National Green Tribunal.

However, despite this clarification issued by the environmentalists strongly believe permission to shoot in the vicinity of Rabindra Sarobar should not have been given at all. Because such activities reportedly cause a lot of damage to the environment and authorities have not underlined any strict rules for the place yet. Even though the makers have the support of the KMDA, the environmentalists claim to take the matter to the court for any further issues.
