Actress Tia Bajpai Takes A Drug Test To Prove Not All Actors Are Druggies Asks Fellow Artists To Do The Same; Watch

Films and TV actress Tia Bajpai today remained in the spotlight on social media after she shared a video with her drug test reports in order to send a message to the industry. In the video, Tia can be seen holding her drug test reports in her hands and encouraged other actor to also take a test to prove that the industry is not full of ‘druggies’.

The entertainment industry has been plagued by controversy ever since the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and with the Narcotics Control Bureau delving into the drug angle of the case many big names have cropped up for their alleged abuse of banned narcotic substances.

In the video the 1920: Evil Returns actress has said: “Right now the entertainment industry is being maligned due to certain people doing drugs. That’s why I have come out with my drug test … Yes, I have got a drug test done and as you all can see, it’s all negative. I will request everyone to kindly not paint all of us with the same brush … some of us are actually doing serious work and working really hard to create a name for ourselves. I would also request all my fellow artists to please go get a drug test done and put it out in public domain. Do it for yourself, do it for your family, do it for your career and most importantly do it for all the fans who love you unconditionally.”

The drug debate related to Bollywood has also reached the Parliament and divided the industry. While Kangana Ranaut had once asked big Bollywood names like Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to take drug tests and claimed that drugs are common at high profile Bollywood parties, Jaya Bachchan had raised concerns and demanded government support for the industry against those calling it gutter.
