Adipurush Director Om Raut: “Ever Since I Watched Baahubali, I Was Impressed By Prabhas”

South superstar Prabhas left the entire nation in awe with his solid performance in S. S. Rajamouli's epic action films Baahubali: The Beginning and the sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The actor went on to win our hearts with his Bollywood debut film Saaho, opposite Shraddha Kapoor. Well much to our delight, Prabhas is now all set to dazzle us once again with his upcoming project! The actor is joining forces with Tanhaji director Om Raut for his next magnum opus titled Adipurush.

In a chat with Bollywood Life, the director opened up about his dream project and Prabhas. He stated, “Ever since I watched Baahubali, I was impressed by Prabhas. He is so subtle that we can relate and feel the depth of his characters. Adipurush is my dream project and dreams of a director cannot be accomplished without a team. I have Prabhas to help me translate my vision on screen and our producer, Bhushan Kumar has been a pillar of strength and understanding with his unconditional support through this initial phase of our journey. It will be a great chance to work with both of them.”

Om went on to add that he is very excited to be on the sets with Prabhas and revealed that the actor showed a lot of enthusiasm about the storyline while discussing the film. In fact, Prabhas has already started the prep for Adipurush. The director said, “He is meant for essaying larger-than-life roles, and I am sure we as a team will deliver the best product to the audience.”

Other than Adipurush, Prabhas will soon be seen in Krish Jagarlamudi's Radhe Shyam, alongside Pooja Hegde, Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Bhagyashree and Kunaal Roy Kapur. He will also share the big screen with Bollywood’s reigning queen Deepika Padukone in a much-awaited project.
