Adipurush: Prabhas Welcomes Kriti Sanon And Sunny Singh Onboard For Om Raut’s Magnum Opus

After winning hearts with one of 2020’s biggest hits, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan, filmmaker Om Raut announced his next masterpiece. Titled Adipurush, the much awaited mythological film is based on Hindu epic Ramayana. While South superstar Prabhas will be seen as Lord Rama on-screen, Saif Ali Khan will be portraying the role of Lankesh Ravana. Well, for the longest time fans waited for an official announcement for the lead actress while rumors suggested Anushka Sharma and Kiara Advani’s names.

Well, Prabhas took to his official social media handle today to share a special announcement, which put all rumors to rest. He welcomed two new cast members onboard for the magnum opus-- the gorgeous Kriti Sanon and the very talented Sunny Singh. Along with a beautiful picture with his co-stars and the director, Prabhas wrote: “Welcoming @kritisanon and @mesunnysingh to the #Adipurush family.” They truly look like one happy family! While Kriti will be playing the role of Sita Maa on screen, Sunny has been roped in to portray the character of Lord Rama’s younger brother Lakshmana. Well, they do look picture perfect with Prabhas in the above post and now we are eagerly waiting to see them create magic on the big screen. The muhurat shot and formal launch was done last month and the film is slated for a release on 11^th August 2022.
