    After AR Rahman’s Revelation, Sound Designer Resul Pookutty Says He Too Was Shunned By Bollywood After His Oscar Win

    Recently, legendary music composer AR Rahman had revealed that after he received an Oscar, he was no more approached by Bollywood filmmakers. Rahman had composed for Dil Bechara and it was in an interview with Radio Mirchi, he revealed that certain gang in Bollywood wanted to finish his career. He further went on to state that Mukesh Chhabra who directed Sushant Singh Rajput in his last film told him, industry insiders advised Mukesh against approaching him [AR Rahman], “When Mukesh Chhabra came to me, I gave him four songs in two days. He told me, ‘Sir, how many people said don’t go, don’t go to him (AR Rahman) and they told me stories after stories.’ I heard that, and I realized, yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less (work in Hindi films) and why good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm,” he told the media outlet.

    And now, Resul Pookutty replied to Shekhar Kapur’s tweet saying he had a breakdown because he didn’t get any work after he won an Oscar.
