Mohit Suri’s next Ek Villain 2 has been making headlines for some time now. The film which is a sequel to Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor’s Ek Villain that released in 2014 will now see John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur come together and now it seems Disha Patani too has given her nod for the project.

A Mumbai Mirror report claimed that Disha approached Mohit Suri wanting to doing some action flicks and he offered her Ek Villain 2. The report also claims that the actress will not be paired opposite her Malang co-star Aditya but will be with John in the film.

Mumbai Mirror quoted Mohit Suri confirm, "Disha is the first heroine who walked up to me and said, ‘I want to do more action, beat up people, perform stunts… kick some butt. Just the way boys do it in your films. I want to be the hero’. That’s when I asked her if she would do the Ek Villain sequel and she was game."

The filmmaker also confirmed that the project will have not one but two actresses. Interestingly not many days ago Disha had denied rumours of being approached for Ek Villain 2 in an interview to Hindustan Times and said, “There is no truth, as of now.”

We guess now that was because she was the one who sought out the project. Ek Villain 2 goes on floors soon and is scheduled for 8 January 2021 for release.
