After Drive, Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara Headed For A Netflix Release As Well?

Sushant Singh Rajput last film Drive was headed to Netflix and was a glorious disaster and now if the reports are anything to go by his other film Dil Bechara might meet the same fate. A few days ago it was in the news that Sushant is planning to insert a clause in his contract for makers to explicitly state if a film is for release online or will release in theatres. Dil Bechara was due for a 2019 release but the makers are apparently not convinced about the theatrical release.

Directed by Mukesh Chhabra Dil Bechara is to mark actress Sanjana Singhi’s debut in Bollywood. Sushant had a great run as far as box office is concerned and especially given his last film Chhichore crossing the 200 crore mark at the box office the actor certainly not wrong in expecting better for his future projects.

As far as the reason for sending Dil Bechara to Netflix is concerned it is being said that the producers find the film to be dimmer than the source material ‘The Fault In Our Stars’, a story about a young couple facing death. The makers feel that it wouldn’t appeal the audiences enough to release in theatres.

The film is now looking at a 2020 release.
