Security Beefed Up Outside Bachchans' Home

After Jaya Bachchan’s Zero Hour Speech, Parameter Security Heightened Outside Bachchans' Homes In Mumbai: Reports

The Mumbai police have increased 'parameter security' out Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s two homes just a day after her speech in the Rajya Sabha where she stated some people are trying to intentionally vilify Bollywood. She had slammed Ravi Kisen's statements about the drug issues plaguing the entertainment industry in the zero-hour notice that she raised in the Rajya Sabha. Jaya stated that some people are intentionally trying to tarnish the image of the Hindi entertainment industry.

Jaya Bachchan slammed the actor saying that a fellow member of the Parliament had cast aspersions on the industry even after it has been his bread and butter. Even when the Parliamentarian has been receiving a lot of support from Bollywood including stars like Sonam Kapoor, Anubhav Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chaddha, she is being brutally abused on the internet and netizens are shaming her for her speech in Parliament on the micro-blogging site.

According to a Times Now report, Mumbai Police have called it a precautionary measure amid vicious trolling of Jaya Bachchan on social media after her speech but made it clear that there will be no special protection given to the Bachchan family members.

Kangana Ranaut, yesterday, took to her official Twitter handle and questioned her whether she would react in the same way if her daughter Shweta Bachchan would be drugged and molested. Today she again took to her social media and "Which plate has Jaya-ji and her industry given?... I taught this industry feminism, decorated the plate with patriotic and feminist films. This is my plate, Jaya-ji, not yours."

Jaya Bachchan in her speech in the Rajya Sabha said, "Just because of a few people, you cannot tarnish the whole industry... Jis thaali me khaate hain usi me chhed karte hain."

Many have also interpreted the security given to the Bachchans as Mahaashtra government’s answer to the Y-plus security given to Kangana Ranaut by the Centre on recent her visit to Mumbai.
