Director Rahul Dholakia who had previously directed shah Rukh Khan in Raees has been working on his next project for a long time now. Earlier he had Kriti Sanon on board to do the film. The film is a social thriller which is also the remake of a Korean film. Kriti was finalised as the main female lead a few months ago. The two had also made an official announcement about it.

But according to a Pinkvilla report, later many other changes happened with the film and its cast! The report quotes a source as saying, “Kriti had to opt-out of the film because of date issues. She finished Housefull 4 and then, moved on to shoot Dinesh Vijan's Mimi which will also be her first woman-centric film. Rahul's film is also very female-driven with the lead heroine shouldering it completely. They parted ways amicably and Rahul was on the lookout for another lead."

That was when Rahul thought of discussing the project with Sara Ali Khan who has already displayed her acting chops in the films she was part of. The same report quotes the same source as saying, “Rahul needs an actress who can perform really well. Sara has proved her acting mettle in the first two films and when Rahul approached Sara, she really liked the idea and how Rahul has taken the idea of the original and woven it into a completely Indian subject."

However, Sara too refused to do the role and said no to Rahul point-blank! The source is further quoted as saying, “Sara has already committed her dates to a few other films - she's doing Aanand L Rai's next and is also in talks with Anees Bazmee for a film with Vicky Kaushal. She couldn't accommodate her dates for Rahul's film and now, after she also said no, the filmmaker has now decided to push this film for now and start work on another idea he's developing,"

Well, who do you guys think can do the role?
