After Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma To Play A Cop In Her Next?

 In recent years we have seen many male-oriented cop dramas such as Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Amitabh Bachchan's Khakhee with a few more big-budget films coming up soon, Akshay Kumar’s  Sooryavanshi and Salman Khan’s  Dabangg 3. There is no doubt that these films having full too drama and action are loved by its audience but cinema over these years is known for breaking its stereotypes. So when it comes to women cops, there were very few films made. However recent announced Mardaani 2 we will see Rani Mukherjee featuring as a female cop and the news of Kareena Kapoor Khan playing a police officer in the upcoming film Angrezi Medium alongside Irfan Khan has also gathered attention. But guess what? The list doesn’t end here. Looks like, we have one more star awaiting to join the list and its none other than the gorgeous Anushka Sharma.  

Anushka Sharma who was last seen in films like Sui Dhaaga: Made in India alongside Varun Dhawan and Zero, alongside Shahrukh Khan has not announced any film yet but according to an entertainment report, the Sui Dhaaga actress has found an amazing script that would see her in the role of a woman cop. According to reports, this film would be high on content with Anushka in a never-seen-before avatar.

Although there no confirmation on the same, it is said that Anushka has already planned to begin preparations for the character as it requires a certain kind of body language and stance. She wants to do this project with utmost perfection. A source was quoted saying “Anushka is constantly looking for quality scripts and it seems like she has found a brilliant one that will see her play the role of a woman police officer.”

She has a genuine liking towards this project and this one is really close to her heart.  “Anushka has always backed projects that are strong on content and this story has just blown her away. It’s a challenging role and will require her to undergo intense prep before she begins filming. The way she works, she will be devoting a lot of time getting into the skin of the character,” The source added.  Wuhoo can’t wait. Let’s see if Anushka does justice with this exciting character of her as a bombshell cop.
