After Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez & Pooja Hedge Join Rohit Shetty's Angoor Adaptation

Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty are joining hands once again for a comedy film which will be an adaptation of Gulzaar’s cult comedy Angoor, where we will see the actor playing a double role. Now, just a few days after this news hit the headlines,  reports are doing the rounds that Rohit has locked in two female leads for the film including Pooja Hedge and Jacqueline Fernandez.

As per a source by Bollywood Hungama, “It’s a double dhamaka of Ranveer, and both the actresses will be paired alongside the actor. Their track plays an important thread in building the confusion, which eventually brings the house down with laughter. It will be a first-time collaboration for the two ladies with Ranveer. It’s an outstanding well-written role for both the girls.” 

Earlier, In 2018, Ranveer teamed up with Rohit for the first time in his film Simmba which was a cop drama. The film was a blockbuster at the box-office with a collection of around Rs. 250 crores. The Simmba actor will now be seen in the extended cameo of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

“After back to back cop films in Simmba and Sooryavanshi, Rohit was on the lookout to step out of the serious zone and do a comedy. He had this idea of making something on the lines of Angoor for a while now and took time in the lockdown to develop the screenplay. The script demanded an actor with an energetic screen presence like Ranveer Singh, and it was an instant yes from the actor for the film,” the source further told Bollywood Hungama.

Apart from the Ranveer Singh featured untitled comedy, Rohit Shetty is also planning to make Golmaal 5 by taking the Golmaal franchise forward with Ajay Devgn in the lead.
