Ahan Shetty on Tadap: "This is risky as a debutant, the audience can either really like you or not like at all"- EXCLUSIVE

Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty is all set to make his debut with Tadap. Ahan would play the character of Ishana, a boy with the 'tadap' of love in the film. Tadap, as we know, is the official remake of RX100 and when one debuts with a remake, it can get a little tricky since comparisons are bound to happen. So, did Ahan take that into consideration while signing the project?

In an exclusive interview with us, Ahan Shetty said, "Doing a film like this is a little bit risky as a debutant. It's not your normal love story, it's a very different type of love story- a very intense love story. And the audience can leave the cinema either really liking you or really not liking so, yeah, definitely didn't go didn't accept this role, thinking, like, maybe I should do this because the audience will fall in love with me. (I did it) Because I wanted to challenge myself, I wanted to do something different. And I feel when I challenge myself, that's when I bring out the best of myself. So that's how I went into this film."

RX100, the original of Tadap, has also been called a problematic film by many. So there are also chances that Tadap can be called a problematic film as well. Is Ahan prepared for the criticism? The actor said, "Honestly, if the audience felt that way, I feel like there would have already been some sort of controversy because the final scene in the or in the trailer, you know, is quite intense. But you don't we're not getting that response. Everything has been very positive. Everyone is really showing a lot of love and appreciation towards us and yeah, I'm not really worried about it. But you know, if it does come up, everyone has a right to their opinion. And we just have to respect that. You know, we are actors, we are responsible for what we do and what at the end of the day we will respect everyone's opinion."

Tadap also stars Tara Sutaria and would hit theatres on 3rd December.
