Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan celebrate 22 years of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam: Didn't think it would create history

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam clocked 22 years since its release and actors Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan shared some throwback pictures to celebrate the occasion. The love triangle cemented Bhansali’s place as a visionary filmmaker in Bollywood and also earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Director.

Ajay Devgn who played Aishwarya Rai’s husband in the film shared throwback pictures with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan and Aishwarya. In a note celebrating the milestone for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam he wrote, "22 years of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam; Salman, Sanjay, Ash & I knew we were making a super-sensitive film. Didn't think though that it would create history. Humbled."

Salman on the other hand shared a single picture with Sanjay Leela Bhansali from set and wrote, “Baees saal ho Gaye #HumDilDeChukeSanam ko…..” He also tagged Ajay in the post.

Bansali Productions also shared some unseen pictures from the making of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam which no fan would want to miss out on.

The film was the story of Sameer, (Salman), Vanraj (Ajay) and Nandani (Aishwarya). Nandini is married to Vanraj according to her parents’ wishes and he later finds out she’s in love with Sameer. Vanraj selflessly vouches to reunite Sameer and Nandani.

The movie won 4 National Film Awards and was also one of Bollywood highest grossing films of the year.
