Ajay Devgn Starrer Maidaan Gets A Release Date, To Release On 27th November 2020!

Ajay Devgn fans will have quite a few films to looks forward to in the coming year. There had already been two films that were scheduled to release in 2020. And now, his third film, Maidaan, too got a 2020 release date.

Maidaan would be releasing on 27^th November 2020. Given Diwali is on the 14^th and there are Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj and Kangana Ranaut starrer Dhakaad already scheduled to release on 13^th, it seems to be a good decision. The Diwali releases will anyway get a fortnight window and there aren’t any other film scheduled for release on this date yet!

Maidaan will be the story of Syed Abdul Rahim, who had been the coach of the Indian Fotballteam. His tenure is regarded as the ‘golden age’ for Indian Football and it was under his leadership that the Indian football team not just won The Asian Games of 1951 and of 1962 but also reached the semi-finals of 1956 Melbourne Olympic Football Tournament, becoming the first ever Asian Country to achieve the place. Ajay Devgn will play Syed Abdul Rahim and Keerthy Suresh will also be a part of it.

The shoot for the film will wrap up by March 2020. Ajay is currently filming the third schedule in Kolkata. It will be a VFX heavy film as well. Apart from Maidaan, Ajay will be seen in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Bhuj: The Pride On India, all of which are based on real-life incidents!
