Ajay Devgn To Play The Lead In Farah Khan’s Satte Pe Satta Remake? Actor Has Apparently Given His Nod!

Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty had announced the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Satte Pe Satta, but looks like the project had been stuck. It had been reported that Hrithik Roshan will take over Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the remake while Deepika Padukone would reprise Hema Malini’s character. But it was then said that Deepika is out of the project and Hrithik clarified and warned that reports are not to be believed until any official confirmation is made. It was also rumoured that Salman Khan had been approached for the film and after his rejection, the project has been put on hold. Now, we get to hear that Ajay Devgn, who had been approached and had also rejected the film before, has finally given his nod to the project!

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source close to the actor has said that he has given his nod for the film. The source was quoted saying, “Ajay had given his nod to the script. Ajay and Rohit have shared a great camaraderie always and with the team facing a hurdle, Devgn has stepped in to rescue Shetty. Ajay, who just delivered a hit with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, will soon begin shooting for Golmaal 4 and once the female lead is locked, the actor will be giving his dates for Satte Pe Satta.” When Ajay’s team was contacted, they said that ‘nothing is confirmed’.

Well, ajay Devgn had earlier been approached for the role as well and he had rejected the film, because he did not want to step into Big B’s shoes and wanted Abhishek Bachchan to reprise the role.
