Ajay Devgn To Squeeze In Alia Bhatt Starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi’s Schedule Amidst Maidaan’s Shoot

The gorgeous Alia Bhatt has been incredibly busy with the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biographical crime film Gangubai Kathiawadi. She resumed shooting for the project in September last year post the COVID-19 lockdown and has only a few scenes left along with two typical Bhansali dance numbers. Well her co-star Ajay Devgn, who will be seen in an extended cameo in the film, has reportedly decided to squeeze in the schedule amidst the ongoing shoot of another one of his much awaited film, Maidaan.

In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Ajay will start filming from February-end and has allocated 10-12 days for the shoot. He will squeeze in Gangubai’s schedule amidst Maidaan’s ongoing shoot. Amit will continue filming with other actors while Ajay will be busy with Gangubai Kathiawadi. At present a set of his character's house is being created in a Mumbai studio. The sequences will feature him and Alia both.” The actor will reportedly be playing the role of Karim Lala.

Other than Ajay, Gangubai Kathiawadi also features Emraan Hashmi and Huma Qureshi in special cameos, whereas Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz and Seema Pahwa will be seen in supporting roles. According to latest reports, the makers are eyeing an Eid 2021 release for the ambitious project.
