Ajay Devgn has several films lined up for him and one of these is Bhuj: The Pride Of India, where he would be seen playing an IAF officer. The film would be based on true events during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. The film was initially scheduled for release of Republic Day 2020, but now we are getting to hear that it might release early in December this year.

According to a report in Mid Day, a trade source was quoted saying, “A week-long stint that includes filming some action sequences featuring Ajay Devgn, is left. Initially, the makers were toying with the idea of releasing it on January 26 next year, but then realised that Vijay Diwas, which commemorates India's victory in the 1971 war, is celebrated on December 16. It is only fitting that a retelling of a chapter from the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war arrives at the theatres around the same time.”

The source also added that the makers had earlier thought of shifting the film to Diwali this year, but with the lockdown, many big films are actually eying this festival release! Bhuj: The Pride of India also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. Ajay Devgn also had Maidaan up for release this year, but because of the lockdown, it would be releasing in 2021. He will also pair up with Luv Ranjan for a film alongside Ranbir Kapoor and with Rohit Shetty for Golmaal 5.
