There has been a sudden spike in the number of coronavirus cases of late. Everyone had been hoping that the novel virus would finally be defeated and the vaccine would finally bring the much-needed respite and normalcy back, but the virus is proving once again that the pandemic is far from being over. Not just the common people, but Bollywood celebs have also been affected. And now, yet another celeb has tested positive.

We are talking about director Amit Sharma. A report in Pinkvilla states that Amit, who would be helming Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, is down with the virus. The director himself has not given any official confirmation about the same.

Well, we hope that he recovers soon and is back to the pink of health. From last week, a number of celebs have tested positive for the virus. It was Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali who tested positive, and then Manoj Bajpayee, Ashish Vidyarthi, Tara Sutaria, Siddhant Chaturvedi and now Satish Kaushik have also tested positive. Some have also recovered. Some celebs have also received the vaccine.

Sharma will also be reportedly directing Deepika Padukone in the remake of the Intern. He has earlier helmed the nuanced Badhaai Ho, that dealt with pregnancy at a relatively older age.
