Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan To Hit Theatres On Dussehra Next Year; Shoot To Begin From This Date

Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn kick-started the shoot of his next film Mayday, co-starring Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan, yesterday in Hyderabad. He announced the same with a special tweet featuring a clapperboard. His post read: “Happy to officially begin MayDay in a start-to-finish shooting schedule. Seek blessings from the Almighty and my parents. Nothing is complete without the support of all my fans, family and well-wishers. Releases on 29th April 2022.”

Well there is another good news for Ajay Devgn’s fans! The actor took to his official social media handle today to announce that he will soon resume shooting for Boney Kapoor’s upcoming film Maidaan. Along with an impressive poster of the film, the actor wrote: “‘Maidaan’ now releases worldwide in theatres on Dussehra 2021. Shoot commences January 2021. #Maidaan2021.” The film was originally going to hit theatres on 13^th August, on the Independence Day weekend.

Also featuring Priyamani and Gajraj Rao, Maidaan is based on the golden era of Indian football. The film will feature Ajay as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Other than Maidaan and Mayday, Ajay will also shine on-screen in Bhuj: The Pride of India, co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash.
