Ajay Devgn’s Raid To Be Turned Into A Multi-Film Franchise; Part 2 Is Now Being Developed

It was almost two years back that Raid had released and became a super hit. The film was based on a real life story and focused on a man who bravely stood his ground to combat corruption without donning a uniform. Now keeping this theme in mind, the makers are now planning to spin it into a multi-film franchise! What’s more- the script of Part 2 is currently under development!

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, TSeries honcho Bhushan Kumar, who had invested in Raid, has said that he is planning to take Raid forward make it ‘a huge multi-film franchise’. He further added, “The script of Part 2 is being developed. Since the original was a much-loved film, the sequel is a huge responsibility.”

Talking about the theme of the franchise, a source close to the film said that it would be about ‘heroes who work closely with the intelligence to track white collar crimes’ and that the franchise would be a ‘tribute to men who do not wear the uniform’. Raid had a promising plot and with the brilliant performance of Ajay Devgn, coupled with Rajkumar Gupta’s  direction, the film made a smashing collection at the box-office.
