Akanksha Puri’s Father Admitted To Hospital After Brain Stroke, Actress Says ‘He Will Take Time To Recover’

TV actress Akanksha Puri who was for a long time in the news during the previous season of Colors’ reality TV show Bigg Boss because of her public break up with contestant Paras Chhabra and her subsequent emotional meltdown on the sets of Vighnaharta Ganesha, is in the news once again. This time it is because of her ailing father.

Well, Akanksha’s father suffered a brain stroke post which a complicated brain surgery was performed on him. And now, he is doing fine and is responding well to the treatment. She took to her Twitter account to share the news with her followers. She shared a video of her father from his hospital bed and wrote, "My power, my strength, my superman, my father. A thorough soldier who fought through thick and thin with a smile. Thanking everyone for their warm wishes. He is a source of inspiration and positivity for me and for millions of others watching this video.#Love #gratitude #Blessings".

In an interview with Spotboye, Akanksha revealed she is currently in her hometown Indore and is looking after her dad.

She has been quoted by the portal as saying, "My Dad got a stroke recently and I had to rush to Indore. Yesterday, brain surgery was performed on him and he is feeling better now. Right now, I am at the hospital with him."

She further informed that her father is now better and is doing good in terms of his health, "He is ok, fighting this with a smile. He will take time to recover," she added.
