Akshay Kumar Admits Bollywood Has A Drug Problem But Says It's Impossible For Every Person In The Industry To Be Involved

Bollywood has been at the centre of attention post the tragic demise of actor Sushant Singh rajput which led to exposing many issues that plague the industry. After so many months Bollywood star Akshay Kumar who had been shooting for his film Bell Bottom in Scotland, has finally opened about these issues and addressed the fans and their anger that directed at the industry.

With stars being dragged into the nepotism debate and then the Narcotics Control Bureau’s drug probe Akshay says to the audiences that if they are angry at the industry today it is valid but also added that so many people in Bollywood are as stunned as they are with the recent revelations. The actor also addressed the media and requested that restraint and sensitivity be practiced while speaking of matters like drugs as one fake news can destroy the hardwork of several years for someone.

The Kesari star also spoke of Sushant’s death and said, “After the sudden death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many issues have cropped up that have pained us as much as they have hurt you. These issues have forced us to introspect about many problems that plague the film industry which were critical to pay attention to. Narcotics and drugs are being spoken about, how do I lie to you with a hand on my heart and claim that this issue doesn’t exist [in the industry]. It does exist, just like it might prevail in any other industry or profession. But it is not possible that every person of that profession is involved in that problem.”

The actor added to his argument by saying, “Drugs are a legal problem and I have full faith in the law enforcement authorities that whatever investigation they have called for in the matter will be completely valid. I also have faith that every person from the film industry will cooperate with them in the matter but I plead with folded hands and ask you to not defame the entire industry for it.”

The NCB, that was called into probe the drug angle of the Sushant Singh Rajput case, have found several leads so far linking big names in Bollywood to drugs some of whom have already been summoned and questioned by them.
