Akshay Kumar has always been in the forefront when it comes to donating and helping the needy. There are lakhs of migrant workers who earn their livelihood on a daily basis, these daily wage workers were left with no option to work once the lockdown was suddenly implemented a few months ago.

A large section of these workers also toils hard daily, in the film and television industry. Since the lockdown no shoots are happening, no one knows exactly when the shoots will resume. Therefore, these workers are not getting paid and they are left with no money at all.

Akshay Kumar has once again come forward in and has extended a helping hand to them.

The Khiladi Kumar came to the rescue of these daily wage cine workers who don’t have any work and hence no source of income amidst the pandemic. These junior artistes and daily wage workers are facing a financial crisis since march.

Akshay Kumar has once again donated Rs 45 lakhs to the CINTAA - Cine & TV Artistes Association to help 1500 film workers, who are badly affected by the nationwide lockdown. Amit Behl, Sr. Joint Secretary (CINTAA), said, “Akshay Kumar wanted to help these workers and that's why asked for a list of its members and transferred Rs. 45 lakhs for their support. An amount of Rs. 3,000 is being deposited into bank accounts of each worker.”
