    Bollywood star Akshay Kumar turned 54 on Thursday but there will be no celebration on this special day for him. The Bell Bottom star lost his mother Aruna Bhatia on Wednesday morning and his family is mourning the loss. Akshay who had asked his fans to pray for his family earlier lost his mother the very next morning and shared the news of her tragic demise with his followers in a heartbreaking tweet.

    While condolences poured in from all corners, Akshay didn’t fail in thanking his fans and followers for their support and birthday wishes this morning while also sharing a sweet picture of him and his mother. In his tweet, the actor wrote, “Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on.”


    On the other hand, Shershaah star Sidharth Malhotra remembered Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra on his birthday today. After having brought to life the story of the Kargil War veteran and earning accolades for his performance last month, Sidharth solemnly remembered the sacrifice of the martyr.

    In his post Sidharth wrote, “Dear Shershaah, They say that those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. And Captain Vikram Batra, you have touched our lives immensely with you valour, wisdom, charm & love for the nation. You will stay in our hearts forever... In your loving memory, Jai Hind.”
