Akshay Kumar Just Confirmed Hera Pheri 3 And We Cannot Keep Calm!

When it comes to comedies, Hera Pheri would rank high on the list of most Bollywood buffs. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal probably gave their career best comic performances in the film and the Priyadarshan directorial is nothing short of a cult classic.

Ever since Phir Hera Pheri, the second instalment of the franchise, had left us dangling off a cliff (quite literally), we have been waiting for a sequel and so far it felt like everything that could possibly gone wrong had gone wrong with the film and no one was sure about it’s future. But now forget all of that because Akshay Kumar just confirmed that Hera Pheri 3 is indeed happening. When asked about the same in a recent interaction, Akshay said, “We are working to get it started.”

Earlier a report stated some details about the film. The reports claimed, “The actors will play characters closer to their age, which has been facilitated in the script with a time-leap. It takes off from where Phir Hera Pheri ended but fast-forwards into the present. The trio is desperate again, but in a completely different scenario.”

Previously, when asked about the film, director Priyadarshan had said, “I am currently busy with my Malayalam film, Marakkar: The Lion of Arabian Sea. It is a huge film and I will only think about Hera Pheri after this one is out of my system. Nothing is concrete as yet.”
