Akshay Kumar loved the script of C. Sankaran Nair’s biopic; is in talks with Karan Johar

A few weeks ago, filmmaker Karan Johar announced that he will be producing a film based on the life of former Indian National Congress President C. Sankaran Nair. He shared, “The film unravels the legendary courtroom battle that Sankaran Nair fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Sankaran Nair's bravery ignited the freedom struggle across the country and is a testament to the power of fighting for the truth.” It has now been revealed that Akshay Kumar is the first choice for this biopic.

In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source was quoted saying, “It has all the elements that an Akshay Kumar film is known for and AK is definitely their first choice for the project. While a couple of meetings have already taken place, the paperwork is yet to be done.” The source further revealed, “Akshay has loved the script and the idea of this film, but his only issue is the timeline of shoot. His diary is packed for the next 1 year and is working out on the date diary before committing to the project.”

Currently Akshay is gearing up for the release of his cop drama Sooryavanshi, which also stars Katrina Kaif and is helmed by Rohit Shetty. His line-up of films also includes espionage thriller Bell Bottom, Prithviraj Chauhan’s biopic, action comedy Bachchan Pandey, Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu, Aanand L. Rai’s Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan.
