Akshay Kumar signs yet another film, to team up with Sonakshi Sinha for Mudassar Aziz's 2XL?

There is no stopping Akshay Kumar. Release of films might be looking uncertain at this point in time, but that has not been stopping Akshay from shooting films or signing new ones. Now, it looks like he has signed yet another project and this time, he would be collaborating with Mudassar Aziz.

If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then Akshay Kumar would be sharing the screen with Sonakshi Sinha for Mudassar Aziz's upcoming project called 2XL. A source revealed that Akshay would be seen in a hatke avatar and added, “Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a rather unconventional role. In fact, as the title suggests 2XL, Kumar will be seen as an obese character somewhat on the lines of the Hollywood Eddie Murphy film Nutty Professor. Interestingly, the last time someone played an obese character in a Bollywood film was Anil Kapoor in the film Badhaai Ho Badhaai. Much like his character’s weighty issues, Kumar will face the same.”

Obviously, that would require quite some prosthetic work and that has also been taken care of. The source added, “An international make-up and prosthetics artist is being roped in for the film. The makers do not want to leave any effort in ensuring they get everything right. No one has been locked yet for this, but it will happen soon. Once done, the rest of the work on the film will be wrapped up since the makers are looking to commence shooting in March 2022.”

Akshay Kumar would soon start the shoot of OMG2 alongside Pankaj Tripathi. Sonakshi Sinha, on the other hand, would next be seen in Reema Kagti's series Fallen and will also reportedly be a part of SLB's Heeramandi.
