Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood Resume Shooting For Prithiviraj In Mumbai, Sanjay Dutt To Join The Cast Post Diwali

After completing the shoot of Bell Bottom in the United Kingdom, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his upcoming historical project, for that the actor is back on sets as he has kick-started the shoot of Prithviraj. The shooting of the film started before the lockdown lifted and it was one of the many films that were affected due to the lockdown. However, now Akshay has finally resumed the shooting for Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s directed film on October 10th at a studio in Mumbai.

This was also confirmed by Diwedi, he said, "Yes, we have resumed 'Prithviraj' shoot at YRF studios and the entire team is excited to have a great shooting schedule" 

According to reports, Sonu Sood has also started shooting from the 10th alongside Akshay Kumar and soon, Manushi Chhillar, too, will join the sets. As for now, reports are, Sanjay Dutt will resume his shooting post-Diwali. Earlier, due to the heavy rains in Mumbai, the filmmakers had to disassemble the outdoor set of the film, which looked similar to a 12th-century palace in Dahisar. 

As per the source, "Sonu Sood has also started shooting from the 10th. The team has worked non-stop to ensure that everything was in place for this complex shooting schedule to restart, Akshay's co-stars Manushi Chhillar and Sanjay Dutt will also be scheduled to start shooting for the film again.”

While speaking about the film, Prithviraj is based on the ruler of the Chahamana dynasty, and the film will mark the Bollywood debut of Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. On the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be seen portraying the role of a transgender in Laxmi Bomb and the film will have an OTT release in November 2020. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar will also star in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi.
