There is a good news for those who had been missing out on the joy of watching films on the big screen. Theatres are all set to reopen from 15th October, as the fifth phase of Unlock would be implemented. This also means that many big films- like Sooryavanshi and '83, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai etc, that did not opt for the OTT way would finally release! In fact, Reliance had told earlier that they were hoping for Diwali release for Sooryavanshi and Christmas release for '83. So does that mean we would finally be able to watch Sooryavanshi and witness Akshay Kumar clashing with himself? Well, seems unlikely.

According to a report in Mid-Day, the CEO of Reliance Entertainment has said that they would not be releasing Sooryavanshi during Diwali. He said, "Even if they open on November 1, how can I release my film with just 10-15 days notice? We aren’t sure if we will change both Sooryavanshi or ’83, or we will just shift one film. It’s clear that December to March is the time (to release films), this is the realistic timeline."

After theatres open on 15th October, many might not be functional right away. The occupancy would only be 50%, keeping social distancing in mind. Already released films might play in the theatres initially.
