Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia passes away, actor writes she 'peacefully left this world and got reunited with my dad'

Akshay Kumar's mother, Aruna Bhatia had not been keeping well since the last few days. The actor had rushed to India from the UK, leaving a shoot midday when he learnt that his mother had to be hospitalised and was in the ICU. Now, the actor's mother is no more. She left for her heavenly abode today morning.

Akshay took to his social media to share this heartbreaking news with everyone. He wrote, "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti." Akshay had earlier thanked everyone for their prayers for his mother. He had written, "Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom's health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help." On mother's day this year, he had also posted a priceless picture with his mother. May the departed soul rest in peace and may god give him and his family the strength to deal with this loss.
