Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Remake: Has Kartik Aaryan Signed The Film And Is Ready To Shoot Next Year?

Are you a fan of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo? This was was a total 'paisa vasool' film with a lot of drama, action, comedy and romance. What's more- the film starred Allu Arjun in the lead and was paired opposite Pooja Hegde. The songs from the film too became a super hit, especially Butta Bomma! Now, Bollywood fans can cheer up a bit since the film is all set to be remade. And guess what- Kartik Aaryan might step into the shoes of Allu Arjun.

Yes, you read that right. According to a report in Mid Day, the actor seems to have not just given his nod, but also signed the dotted lines. The remake might be directed by Rohit Dhawan while the original producers, Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna, will produce the Bollywood version as well.

The daily also quoted a trade source saying, "Before the lockdown, Kartik had been approached for the role of Bantu, which was played by Allu. The role is apt for Kartik, who is also a good dancer. The deal was apparently finalised on Thursday, and Kartik will film for it after he wraps up Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2. The movie will roll in early 2021."

The makers also seem to have finalised the other characters. The same source added, "The makers are scouting for an established actor, like Aparshakti Khurrana or Angad Bedi, to play Raj's role. Paresh Rawal is in contention for the role of Bantu's father. News of Kartik's entry is being kept under wraps as the makers want to announce the remake in September."

In an interview earlier, Kartik had revealed that he wants to be a part of the Hindi remake, if it's ever made. Talking to Film Companion, he had said, "That is one film which I saw on Netflix also. It’s a lot of fun. I can’t see anyone else doing that part, it’s an enjoyable film. But I don’t know whether I’m doing the film or not (laughs). Because abhi aisa kuchh mujhe pata nahi hai ki Hindi remake ho raha hai. Maine bas padha hai, mera naam aaya hai ki I might be doing the film and the makers have approached me. In fact, main toh iss project ko hunt kar raha hun. Jab se maine yeh film dekhi hai I really feel that I fit the bill.”

That already sounds super interesting, isn't it?
