Alaya F roped in for Hindi remake of U-Turn; producer Ekta Kapoor promises edge-of-the-seat excitement

Alaya F blew us away when she made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Saif Ali Khan’s film Jawaani Jaaneman last year. She was raw, real and extremely charming. Her killer dance moves were bang on and her acting chops left audiences in awe. Well, it has been over a year and fans are now eagerly waiting for the young actress to announce her next. Much to our delight, it has now been revealed that Alaya has been roped in for the Hindi remake of Kannada film U-Turn.

The supernatural thriller film will be backed by Cult Movies, a new division launched under Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, and will mark the directorial debut of Arif Khan. The latest report shared by Mid Day suggests that the project will go on floors tomorrow. Talking about her lead actress, Ekta was quoted saying, “Alaya was fantastic in her debut film. There’s a self-assured yet vulnerable quality to her that I believe can connect with audiences. U-Turn takes you on a ride with twists and turns galore, and provides edge-of-the-seat excitement.”

Alaya, too, is ecstatic about the opportunity that has come her way. The star kid shared that working with Ekta so early in her career is very exciting, especially since the project is so interesting. Alaya went on to add, “I feel responsible to be given the task to drive such an intriguing story.”
