Ali Fazal And Richa Chadha Push Their Wedding To 2021, Yet To Set The Date

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the nation was put on a lockdown in March and citizens were asked to step out of their houses only on extremely urgent business. As a result of the pandemic, Bollywood actors Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha had to postpone their wedding indefinitely. The Fukrey co-stars had planned to tie the nuptial knot in April this year and had even started organizing themselves. The invites were yet to be sent out but they had to cancel everything last minute when the lockdown was declared.

Ali and Richa had planned to spread their wedding festivities across three cities, that is Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai. Well, now the couple has decided to push the wedding to 2021 as the pandemic is far from done. In a report shared by Mumbai Mirror, Richa was quoted saying, “So, it is only pragmatic to push the wedding to the coming year in the interest of everyone who would wish to attend.”

Talking about the same, Ali shared, “Let's see when we are able to accept the new normal, then, we will decide on a date, maybe early next year.” When asked if the couple will stick to their original plan of travelling to three cities, Ali revealed that the only reason they came up with the plan was so that their relatives wouldn’t have to travel. He added, “We wanted to tackle each side in their own city.”

Joking about how they will go about their wedding, Ali said they could book several large and open fields, each far away from the other, and rent out a local train so they can drop by as bride and groom at different venues, enjoying the food.

Well, we all hope the situation gets better soon and life returns to normal. Or, at least as normal as possible.
