While it was announced that they will be joining forces for Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Takht, the project sadly got pushed. Well much to our delight, latest reports have revealed that Alia and Ranveer will be reuniting on the silver screen for an upcoming romantic comedy before Takht.

    In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source was quoted saying, “Karan had been working on a script for some time now which is ready and Karan is most likely to direct the rom com. Ranveer and Karan have discussed the idea and the filmmaker has spoken to Alia as well for the same. He is mostly likely to make an announcement soon.” The report further states that Alia and Ranveer had booked their dates for KJo’s period drama Takht. However, the project got pushed. So now the dynamic duo will reportedly shoot the rom com with Karan in the same time schedule.

    Other than Takht and their romantic comedy, the actors have many other exciting projects in their kitty. Ranveer will soon shine on the big screen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ‘83 as legendary cricketer Kapil Dev and will also feature in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming comedy Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Alia, on the other hand, shared the trailer of Sadak 2 co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt today. The actress will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Brahmāstra and S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR.
